iDuelpro v3.6 Yu-gi-oh! calculator for iPhone/iPod Touch popular during the Holidays

Are it the dueling fanatics who get an early Christmas gift or are TCG’s becoming popular again? Anyway, iDuelpro was already popular, but it’s now even more popular and really becoming the killer Yu-gi-oh! App for iPhone & iPod Touch. The other versions for eg. Mac and Windows are also doing fantastic.

Especially the tons of extra features that the last updates brought are bringing a lot of extra Yu-gi-oh! and Magic! The Gathering players. We will even have to create a MTG variant of iDuelpro since the current version is more geared towards the Yu-gi-oh! TCG. But the fact that most versions except for the advanced iDuelpro for iPhone are free has something to do with the immense success and the nearly one million users worldwide.

Here’s an overview of all versions for several devices :
-iDuelpro Lite  for iPhone/iPod Touch (Free)
-iDuelpro for iPhone/iPod Touch (Price : 0.99$/0.79€/…) (Professional Version)
-Duelpro for Windows (Free)
-iDuelpro Mac for Mac OSX (Free)
-iDuelpro Widget for Mac OSX (Free)

iDuelpro for iPhone

iDuelpro for iPhone

A(n) (i)Duelpro for every platform!

Yesterday we announced the coming of v3.5 of iDuelpro – yu-gi-oh! lifepoints calculator for iPhone. Now we can also announce that a drastic improvement of the Mac version is on its way. But that’s not all! Yesterday someone asked for a Blackberry version of Duelpro, and I started thinking.

We acquired material to build applications for Windows Mobile earlier this year, which means that we will start developing a Duelpro version for Windows Mobile anytime soon. This version will have about the same features as the Windows version and will show a donation button in the bottom.

But there’s more, another platform for which we could start to build apps is Google’s Android OS. We will use the same tactic there. People will simply be able to make a donation.

After Android OS, all nokia platforms with Qt framework will follow (including symbian).

So within the coming year, we will have a Duelpro version available for 6 platforms namely :

-Windows
-Mac OSX
-iPhone OS (also iPod Touch)
-Windows Mobile
-Android OS
-Symbian/Qt

Linux and Haiku (BeOS) executables may follow as well in this time. This only leaves the Java platform of some mobile phones and Blackberry OS to be. We can’t develop a Duelpro version for every cellphone available and Blackberry development is too expensive. Otherwise nearly any OS would be covered.

iDuelpro v3.5 for iPhone/iPod Touch preview

Since a few days we are working hard to make a new version of our Yu-gi-oh! calculator iDuelpro available to our users. This version will include a few interesting changes therefore we skip one version from v3.3 to v3.5 to point at its importance.

For the first time in-App pop-up windows will be used to expand iDuelpro. This may not interest you a lot, but it enables the use of settings panes, easier dialog boxes and of course the Spell Counter/token tool you have all been requesting for so long.

And that’s probably one of the 2 biggest changes in iDuelpro 3.5, Token/Spell Counter support. I added it exactly as “Masteranza” suggested in his iTunes App Store review as you will see in the screenshots of the current development version.
Most people suggested a token counter, but I made a hybrid also adding spell counter support. You can put more than just 1 or 0 in the token table, also enabling the use of spell counters. (up to 999) The counter’s state is also saved when the application is quit and is reset when starting a new game.

So this version of iDuelpro actually comes with 19.980 virtual coins included which you can to keep track of spell counters or as a replacement for tokens.

Other things that will be implemented will be eg. a settings pane in which you can set both player’s names and initial lifepoints and where you can view your amounts of wins/losses/draws. An extra icon which enables you to follow us on twitter. An updated help file and of course various bug fixes and added confirmation message to prevent false touches.

iDuelpro v3.5 will be completed somewhere next week but the current version can already be downloaded here>

iDuelpro Sales up thanks to Duelpro Monopoly and new release

We have released Duelpro 2009 yesterday, another major version of the most used yu-gi-oh! lifepoints calculator. Other than the fixes, improvements, new features and GUI overhaul, there was another change. Duelpro now features an iDuelpro introduction screen at start!

The problem with iDuelpro isn’t that it’s not useful, since most people who use it have remarked it being the best LPC around. The problem is how many people know about it. iDuelpro is the cheapest full featured lifepoints aid for iPhone and iPod Touch, but as long as people don’t know this they will keep’on buying too expensive ugly LPC’s with the same or less functionality then iDuelpro. Therefore we are introducing iDuelpro to all people who own Duelpro for Windows, 532.896 in total at the moment.

By doing this we can show people that if they own an iPhone or iPod Touch and they play the Yu-gi-oh! TCG, iDuelpro is a must have. And we are already noticing this, today our marketshare on the iPhone already increased after dropping for a while and our sales were up 75%. We will have another exposure to 5.000 people in the coming month and are even thinking about advertising on major sites by the end of this year. In this way we can provide all iPhone or iPod Touch yu-gi-oh! fans with a decent and cheap solution to improve their TCG experience.

Another great thing is that we have gotten this amazing email today of someone who liked iDuelpro Mobile so much that he wanted to thank us personally. This is just great, if there is anything that makes us more happy than the financial reports at the end of the month, it’s a happy customer. This is something we are now experiencing for the first time, since we have been developing for Windows the past years.

So if you like iDuelpro or Duelpro, send us an email and make us happy!

Duelpro 2009 coming tomorrow!

It’s been a while since we last updated Duelpro and I must say the last update didn’t do any good. The interface looks like crap and it’s not exactly intuitive. Therefore we are going to make it up with all Duelpro 2008.1 users by releasing Duelpro 2009 tomorrow.

Duelpro 2009 is completely rebuild from scratch, which makes it much faster and more stable than Duelpro 2008. The most important change will probably be the interface. Duelpro 2009 will be full of eyecandy and new features which have never been in a Windows TCG lifepoints calculator before.

The interface is now totally rebuild and a whole lot different, the quick access buttons for dealing or restoring predefined amounts of lifepoints have been natively implemented now and there will also be a halve and a double lifepoints option. There will even be a feature in Duelpro 2009 which has yet to appear in the iPhone version, a custom preset button, in which you can store an amount of lifepoints and deal it as damage or restore it at a single click. DPR 2009 will also come with a lifepoints bar to keep track of your lifepoints and an Undo feature.

There’s of course still room for the classic features like keyboard shortcuts, a card tracker for both players, a button to declare a draw, a direct kill button for eg. exodia and destiny board, a phase and turn keeper, a dashboard and dice and coin simulation.

In total the interface of Duelpro now consists of 108 images and has a completely new icon which will soon be applied to all (i)Duelpro versions.

Duelpro 2009 will be released tomorrow evening and will be freely available from our site to freely distribute. We will allow leaching and will not set anymore redirections for Duelpro and iDuelpro. So you can freely share Duelpro with your friends or link to the executable on our site. It’s our purpose to make as many people as possible update to Duelpro 2009. There will only be one catch, we will advertise our newest iDuelpro for iPhone when the installer exits.

iDuelpro Mobile 3.1 ready to be uploaded

A few weeks ago we first released a paid version of our yugioh LPC for iPhone, iDuelpro Mobile (v3.0) and now we already have a new update available. Dramatic updates always have drawbacks and receive a lot of criticism and hence some things had to be fixed and updated.

The “10.000″ button is now removed and replaced by a button which pops-up a dialog to deal a custom amount of damage or to restore a custom amount of lifepoints, there is an undo button added to undo the last action as requested by some users and a button for direct kill combo’s or cards like exodia or destiny board.

If iDuelpro Mobile will keep on existing is still unclear, yesterday we had completely no sales and in the first two weeks Apple allowed thousands of people to update for free thus creating a potential loss of hundreds of dollars. We still have the cheapest full yu-gi-oh LPC available for the iPhone considering that any other LPC is 4,99$ or more, but since iDuelpro became paid people just don’t seem that interested.

You can still buy the current version for 0,99$ in the iTunes App Store

Native Duelpro 2009 coming to each platform

Duelpro 2009, our yu-gi-oh! TCG lifepoints calculator (with which it all started), will be natively ported to 3-4 platforms. For each OS, Duelpro 2009 will get a native interface so forget the colorful Duelpro 2008. Where Duelpro 2008 was build in Delphi, the next version will be build in Visual Studio C++ for Windows, Qt 4 for Linux and BSD (oDuelpro), Xcode for Mac OSX and iPhone (iDuelpro). This will bring a native feel to Duelpro. Of course we will still throw in the phoenxsoftware style interface by adding some styled graphics, but we are looking for a unified interface which will look good on any OS and which will be fast and easy to use.

Duelpro 2009 (5.0) will features :
-More custom buttons to add or subtract lifepoints
-New interface
-Dashboard on each OS
-Buttons to halve lifepoints on each OS
-Turn based dueling on each OS
-4 player support on each OS
-Unified Icon

Release : Duelpro 2008.2

Before the release of Duelpro 2009 we have released another 2008 release, Duelpro 2008.2 (4.2.2.11).

This new version has the same quick operation buttons as iDuelpro Mobile and fixes some other minor issues, it also has a contrast mode for people who were unable to view the light interface.

It has already been added to most sites including yugioh-world and Pojo. But you can find it here on our site :

Duelpro 2009, a new chapter?

In a few days it will be 2009 and a new year means a new Duelpro.

Whilst iDuelpro covers most non Windows OS’s, Duelpro remains the dominant yugioh! lifepoints aid. So we have to take some care of it.

While browsing the web I discovered another lifepoints aid which is obviously bad programmed and is shareware. I wasn’t impressed but it put me thinking. Isn’t it fun to use a lot of technology and professional programmers/designers/marketeers and put them on a market that is filled with hobbyists and basic software?

So hereby we are actually going to invest time and money in the development of Duelpro 2009.

You can expect :
-New skinnable HD interface with technology taken from LockPhix’s SGL (Simple Graphics Layer) and theme-technology taken from the latest “in development” version of 36-image converter.
-Auto-update and netread technology taken from ROC that enables us to cooperate with renown yugioh sites to deliver instant info on cards, rules and news.
-Of course the Channeled Dashboard technology of 36-image converter.
-4-player support.
-Ability to save and track every game.
-A virtual AI opponent.
-Ability to store duel info and tactics taken from the LockPhix PasswordSafe technology.
-A server to upload results.
-And much more…

Duelpro and iDuelpro will also get their own site.

We already control 95% of the global yugioh lifepoint aid software market, but we are going for 100%!

You can expect Duelpro 2009, somewhere around March 2009, one year after the release of Duelpro 2008 (4.0.1).
