iDuelpro Sales up thanks to Duelpro Monopoly and new release

We have released Duelpro 2009 yesterday, another major version of the most used yu-gi-oh! lifepoints calculator. Other than the fixes, improvements, new features and GUI overhaul, there was another change. Duelpro now features an iDuelpro introduction screen at start!

The problem with iDuelpro isn’t that it’s not useful, since most people who use it have remarked it being the best LPC around. The problem is how many people know about it. iDuelpro is the cheapest full featured lifepoints aid for iPhone and iPod Touch, but as long as people don’t know this they will keep’on buying too expensive ugly LPC’s with the same or less functionality then iDuelpro. Therefore we are introducing iDuelpro to all people who own Duelpro for Windows, 532.896 in total at the moment.

By doing this we can show people that if they own an iPhone or iPod Touch and they play the Yu-gi-oh! TCG, iDuelpro is a must have. And we are already noticing this, today our marketshare on the iPhone already increased after dropping for a while and our sales were up 75%. We will have another exposure to 5.000 people in the coming month and are even thinking about advertising on major sites by the end of this year. In this way we can provide all iPhone or iPod Touch yu-gi-oh! fans with a decent and cheap solution to improve their TCG experience.

Another great thing is that we have gotten this amazing email today of someone who liked iDuelpro Mobile so much that he wanted to thank us personally. This is just great, if there is anything that makes us more happy than the financial reports at the end of the month, it’s a happy customer. This is something we are now experiencing for the first time, since we have been developing for Windows the past years.

So if you like iDuelpro or Duelpro, send us an email and make us happy!

Duelpro 2009 coming tomorrow!

It’s been a while since we last updated Duelpro and I must say the last update didn’t do any good. The interface looks like crap and it’s not exactly intuitive. Therefore we are going to make it up with all Duelpro 2008.1 users by releasing Duelpro 2009 tomorrow.

Duelpro 2009 is completely rebuild from scratch, which makes it much faster and more stable than Duelpro 2008. The most important change will probably be the interface. Duelpro 2009 will be full of eyecandy and new features which have never been in a Windows TCG lifepoints calculator before.

The interface is now totally rebuild and a whole lot different, the quick access buttons for dealing or restoring predefined amounts of lifepoints have been natively implemented now and there will also be a halve and a double lifepoints option. There will even be a feature in Duelpro 2009 which has yet to appear in the iPhone version, a custom preset button, in which you can store an amount of lifepoints and deal it as damage or restore it at a single click. DPR 2009 will also come with a lifepoints bar to keep track of your lifepoints and an Undo feature.

There’s of course still room for the classic features like keyboard shortcuts, a card tracker for both players, a button to declare a draw, a direct kill button for eg. exodia and destiny board, a phase and turn keeper, a dashboard and dice and coin simulation.

In total the interface of Duelpro now consists of 108 images and has a completely new icon which will soon be applied to all (i)Duelpro versions.

Duelpro 2009 will be released tomorrow evening and will be freely available from our site to freely distribute. We will allow leaching and will not set anymore redirections for Duelpro and iDuelpro. So you can freely share Duelpro with your friends or link to the executable on our site. It’s our purpose to make as many people as possible update to Duelpro 2009. There will only be one catch, we will advertise our newest iDuelpro for iPhone when the installer exits.

What’s coming in 2009?

2008 was a good year for us. 36-image converter reached the top 20 of the most popular image editors with 1800 downloads a week, it was also featured in many computer magazines. We mostly abandoned our old platform for development and started converting all our applications to Delphi for Win32.  We released our first OpenSource application : SpeedShut 4.0 and we improved our site’s feedback system by using MySQL. We are currently at a stable amount of +-13.000 visitors a month and it is still rising bringing our amount of unique visitors for 2008 to an estimated 140.000.

Now what’s coming in the near future?

Iphix dev, the new development department of 36-image converter will release a new version of 36-image converter soon. Version 4.5 will be an improvement in many ways. We will also release a light version of 36-image converter in combination with an image library application, it will weigh about 3mb and will be comparable to Google Picasa.

We will release more OpenSource system utilities for windows and the existing ones will be updated. Focus will be also put on ROC.

As you might have noticed, we started development for Mac OSX and other Apple platforms such as Iphone. Soon you can expect a native iDuelpro for Mac OSX and more useful applications too. In a while there will also be an iDuelpro Mobile for Iphone. Hereby we are breaking bounds with the Redmond software giant Microsoft that loyally served us for many years as we royally served it.

Brecht Ceyssens and I are working on a secret project for windows that will shake the entire software-world. This will probably be the top innovation for UIC Phoenxsoftware for 2009. One point of the project is that I’ve found a way to break the batch habits of modern PC’s and execute a large amount of tasks simultaneously thus performing batch tasks within a few milliseconds instead of within seconds, minutes, hours or even days. Using this technique I will redevelop all current batch applications creating some of the fastest applications on this planet. File copiers, backup applications, file indexers, the possibilities are endless.

Our site will also be updated in 2009.
